ILA Strike: Atlantic and Gulf Coast Ports 🚨

The International Longshoremen’s Association (ILA) has indicated a potential strike that could affect all Atlantic and Gulf Coast ports on October 1st if a new contract agreement is not established. Despite ongoing discussions with the United States Maritime Alliance (USMX), a new labor contract has yet to be reached, with the current agreement set to expire on September 30th.

This potential strike may result in disruptions across all East Coast and Gulf Coast ports, including possible delays and increased costs such as demurrage, detention, or rerouting of freight to alternative ports. We are actively engaging with our carriers to monitor the situation closely and will provide timely updates as more information becomes available.

Additionally, we are thoroughly reviewing all shipments currently en route to these ports and will collaborate with carriers to consider alternative arrangements if required.

We appreciate your understanding and continued collaboration during this period.
